Privacy

Covers the seahawks.life website and the Seahawks Life iPhone app. Last updated 1 November 2026 (forum accounts and Four Downs added).

Seahawks Life is an unofficial fan site and app run by one fan, Russell Kendall. It has no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics, and it doesn't sell or share your information with anyone.

The newsletter

You join the newsletter by ticking the box when you set up your forum account, or later in your forum profile. We then add your forum name and the email you signed in with to the newsletter list (or, in the iPhone app, the first name and email you enter), and use them only to send you the Seahawks Life newsletter. Unticking the box removes you from the list. They're stored on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Stockholm).

To stop spam sign-ups, we count newsletter sign-ups from each network address for an hour. The address is scrambled before it's counted, so it can't be read back, and the count is deleted within two hours.

To unsubscribe or have your details deleted, reply to any newsletter or email russell.kendall@mail.uk.

Forum accounts

To post in the forum you create an account with your email and a password, or sign in with Apple or Google. Accounts are run by Amazon Cognito, so we never see or store your password. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address (Apple lets you share a private relay address instead).

We keep your email, the display name you choose, your profile picture if you add one, and your posts. Other fans see only your display name, picture and posts, never your email. Moderators can see your email when they need to manage an account.

Profile pictures are checked automatically for unsuitable content before they appear, by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude, run on Amazon Bedrock within the EU). The picture is used only for that check. Your browser crops and re-saves the picture before upload, which removes hidden photo details such as location.

You can delete your posts at any time. To close your account and delete your details, email russell.kendall@mail.uk.

Four Downs

Four Downs, the weekly pick'em, uses your forum account. We keep your picks, the line each was made at, your tiebreaker guess and your points. Other players see your display name, points and badges, and your picks for each game once it has kicked off. It's free: there are no entry fees, bets or prizes, and the betting lines are shown for information only.

Fan polls

To stop the same person voting twice in the Greatest Moments poll, your browser or phone keeps a random id. The id isn't linked to your name, email or device, and your vote is counted only in the totals.

Visit counts

The website counts visits without cookies. We record the day, your country (from the network, never a precise location) and how you found the site (for example a search engine or a shared link). We never record your IP address or anything that identifies you. The iPhone app doesn't send these counts.

Kickoff reminders

The app's kickoff reminders are scheduled on your phone. Nothing about them is sent to us.

Videos and links

Videos open on YouTube, and news and fantasy links open on other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Children

Seahawks Life isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
